 Safety In the field

Safety Minimize

Ardew Wood Products is committed to Safety and determined to promote safe, healthy working conditions and attitudes with the objective of preventing accidents at our work sites.

To achieve this objective, we:

  • Manage our operations to meet or exceed legal requirements pertaining to health and safety.
  • Strive to identify, control or eliminate hazards that may compromise the health and safety of persons at the workplace.
  • Establish objectives and targets that provide continual improvement in the performances of our Occupational Health and Safety Program.
  • Communicate our Occupational Health and Safety Program.

Our Health and Safety Committee meet regularly to review and ensure issues are dealt with as they arise. The Committee also regularly reviews the Safety history and sets future program goals.

Our focus is on a proactive approach through consistent use of safety procedures and continuous improvements.

Ardew's Woodlands Department operates under the same principles. Every Contractor working in Woodlands activities must be certified under one of the BC Forest Safety Council’s SAFE programs, and/or must demonstrate compliance with all WorkSafe BC requirements.
