Maximizing Production Flexibility

Continuous improvements ensure that Ardew Wood Products has the production flexibility to manufacture a wide range of innovative products and the ability to adapt to customers’ changing needs.

Product size, length, moisture content, species, quantity and delivery are tailored to meet customer requirements.

Recent modifications have furthered Ardew’s ongoing efforts to optimize fibre recovery and reduce the volume of by-products.  The sawmill’s large log line processes logs from 10 cm to 61 cm (4” to 24”) in diameter, while the unique and efficient small log line handles trees from 5 cm to 18 cm (2” to 7”) in diameter.  On a single shift basis, the monthly production of 4,600 m³ consists of a mix of lodgepole pine and spruce.
